SHARJAH, 14 November 2004 — The government has removed the director general of the state-run Abu Dhabi Television for resuming normal programs during the official mourning for the death of Sheikh Zayed ibn Sultan Al-Nahayan.
Minister of Information Sheikh Abdullah ibn Zayed Al-Nahayan said the decision to remove Ahmed Ali Al-Baloushi, who was in charge of Abu Dhabi TV in his capacity as director-general of Emirates Media Inc. was taken following a “certain blunder.”
