JEDDAH, 17 November 2004 — A deranged African woman created havoc among pilgrims and other worshippers in Makkah as she prevented them from going to the Holy Haram for Fajr prayer on Monday, Al-Madinah Arabic daily reported. The 40-year-old woman threw bottles and other waste at pilgrims in Ibrahim Street in the city, blocking their way to the mosque, the paper added. The paper did not say whether police had to intervene in order to ensure the free flow of pilgrims.
