RIYADH, 24 November 2004 — A special show awaits lovers of culture and fashion at the Philippine Embassy on Friday, starting at 6 p.m.

Organized by the Filipino Artists for Cultural Entertainment and Services (FACES), the presentation dubbed Fiesta Filipiniana — Couture Filipina is a fashion show and designing competition featuring RiFFDA, Riyadh Filipino Fashion Designers Association.

“It is an impressive display of the finest in Filipino fashion, colorful and lavishly crafted from materials indigenous to Filipinos, resembling the olden days of festivities and celebration,” FACES public relations officer Hudson Hoo said in a news release.

“The 3-hour haute couture Filipiniana-inspired spectacle, under the tutelage of FACES, Filipino Artists for Cultural Entertainment and Services, will be as vibrant as the Flower Festival that is Panagbenga, lively as the Dinagyang of Iloilo and vividly colorful as the Masskara of Bacolod,” he added.
