If there’s one feature the Star Wars films shine at, it’s the presentation of absolutely epic battles featuring every class of droid, ship, and ground force imaginable. Star Wars: Battlefront (SWBF) truly places you in the heart of classic Star Wars battles, both old and new. As always, we’ll take a look at the graphics, Sounds, Game play and Multiplayer experience.
Graphics:
The graphics are top notch. Every level does a fantastic job of reminding you of the movies and each planet has its own unique feature, Horth with its crystal white snow, Naboo with its vast landscape and Kamino with its violent weather. Score: 9/10
Sounds:
The music and the sound effects are perfectly captured from the Star Wars movies. The pulsation laser shot, the light saber slash and sharp beeping of thermal detonators, Without doubt, Sound is the most significant factor in this game. Score: 9/10
Game Play:
(SWBF) offers the opportunity to play in three single player modes: Instant Action, Campaign, and Galactic Conquest. Instant Action allows you to play in any map. Campaign mode includes two separate campaigns, each following a linear progression; while “Galactic Conquest” lets you conquer the universe one planet at a time in a more open-ended fashion. Player also can switch between First and third-person view, which improves the game play. Score: 8.5/10
Multiplayer:
The second most significant factor is the multiplayer mode. Players have access to more than 30 Star Wars weapons, the ability to choose from 20 different soldier types from the 4 known factions in the movie and the capacity to drive more than 25 different ground and air vehicles. Furthermore, (SWBF) multiplayer mode succeeded in mixing the deathmatch and objective-based modes into one mode promising satisfaction to both style seekers. Score: 9/10
To finish off, Developers filled every inch of the game with much as star wars contents and the results, SWBF definitely delivers the goods in all aspects and Star Wars fans will enjoy it greatly. I must highlight the game is more a multiplayer game then a single player. This can be a disappointment to those who play single mode only. Overall Score: 8.8/10
