NEW YORK, 29 November 2004 — LeBron James had 26 points to become the youngest player in National Basketball Association history to score 2,000 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers eased to a 96-74 home win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

Kobe Bryant was the previous youngest player to reach the total but James set the new mark at 19 years, 272 days old, 277 days younger than Bryant when he set the previous record on Feb. 23, 1999 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jeff McInnis added 16 points for the Cavaliers (9-4), who have won nine of their past 10 games, while James contributed seven rebounds and seven assists.

James hit a 16-foot jumper with 1:03 left in the third quarter to hit the 2,000 mark and it was his final basket of the game, as he sat out the final quarter in the Cavs lopsided win.

In other action, Jamal Crawford scored 30 points to lead the Knicks to a 108-102 win over the Toronto Raptors in New York. Stephon Marbury had 19 points and 15 assists and Kurt Thomas added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Knicks, who have won three of their past four games. Vince Carter led the Raptors with 19 points, with Toronto getting 51 points from its bench, the same total as their starters produced.

In Orlando, Grant Hill scored a team-high 29 points to give the Magic a 105-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Steve Francis scored 22 points and Dwight Howard added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Magic.

In Charlotte, Emeka Okafor had 15 points and 10 rebounds in the Bobcats 107-92 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Eddie House scored 17 points and Brevin Knight added 12 points and 11 assists for the Bobcats.

In Memphis, Dirk Nowitzki scored 32 points and picked up 18 rebounds to give the Dallas Mavericks a 98-85 win over the Grizzlies. Jerry Stackhouse put in 20 points to give Dallas its second win after three straight losses.

In Houston, Andre Miller scored 20 points to lead the Denver Nuggets to an 82-76 win over the Houston Rockets. Kenyon Martin added 19 points and 13 rebounds and Marcus Camby had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Nuggets.

In San Antonio, Manu Ginobili scored 17 points to help the Spurs coast to a 109-76 win over the Utah Jazz. Malik Rose had 16 points and Devin Brown and Tony Parker each contributed 14 points in the Spurs third straight win.

Matt Harpring scored 15 points for Utah.

In Milwaukee, Michael Redd scored 29 points to give the Bucks a 96-90 win over the Detroit Pistons.
