RUWAIDA, 5 December 2004 — A mother nearly died of shock when she saw her two-year-old boy biting a small live snake thinking it was a toy, Riyadh newspaper reported. The family was camping in the wild outside Riyadh when her son saw the small snake, picked it up and began to bite it. The mother tried to pull the snake from her son’s mouth but the boy refused to let it go. The mother had to hit her son twice in the head to release the snake which she killed with a rock. She took her son to the hospital suspecting that he was bitten by the snake. The boy spent the night at the hospital for a checkup.
