RIYADH, 6 December 2004 — Saudi shares recovered yesterday after a slip in oil prices prompted a sharp fall the day earlier, with analysts saying the Riyadh stock market’s fundamentals remained strong thanks to tighter regulation. “I think it was a blip,” Saudi economist Ihsan Buhulaiga told AFP, referring to Saturday’s drop which stripped the Tadawul All-Shares Index (TASI) of 446.98 points. The index rose by 2.73 percent to 7921.93 points toward the end of trading yesterday following a 5.48 percent decline a day earlier.
