JIZAN, 8 December 2004 — A father went to the civil department to change his daughter’s name was surprised to see that his request was denied because his one-year-old daughter was banned from traveling Al-Madinah reported. The father was angry because of the long and complicated procedures necessary in the civil department and passport department to change his daughter’s name. The father said that he was tired from going back and forth between the civil department and passport department just to clear his daughter’s name from the traveling black list where it was placed for no stated reason.
