RIYADH, 11 December 2004 — An Iraqi man was executed in northern Saudi Arabia yesterday after he was convicted of murdering a Saudi, the Interior Ministry announced.

Fulaih ibn Nazzal ibn Rahim Al-Ziyadi was one of two Iraqis convicted of stabbing and shooting Lafi ibn Farhan ibn Fraij Al-Anzi to death after “dragging him to their tent” and robbing him. While his accomplice was executed at the time of his sentencing, Ziyadi’s execution had been postponed until all the victim’s heirs came of age, the ministry said.
