JEDDAH, 12 December 2004 — Lebanese singer Najwa Karam has headed off to Egypt where she is scheduled to hold a grand performance at the Samir Amis hotel, in which proceeds will go to support the works of the Lebanese-Egyptian Partnership Association. Najwa will hold a press conference before the concert to talk about the event, which will witness VIP guests from Lebanon and Egypt.

Upon her return to Lebanon, Najwa will begin preparations for her New Years Eve concert at the Venice Hotel in Beirut alongside a number of prominent Arab singers. The singer will also begin work on her upcoming album and has already sat with a number of poets and composers in order to have it ready by summer 2005.

Recently, Najwa announced that she plans on singing a new duet with prominent Saudi singer Mohammad Abdu, after the great success her first duet with prominent Lebanese singer Wadee’ Al-Safi reached.

The new duet is completely different from what Najwa has been accustomed to singing. The style and accent of the new song will show a new side for Najwa, but is surely to achieve great success as did the duet with Al-Safi.

Karam has released a new music video which is a combination of two songs in one directed by Sa’eed Marook. The clip starts with the song “Bahwak” and then the song “Sho Meghayara” portraying the theme of everyday life on earth with people living a routine life between work and social life.
