MADINAH, 9 May 2005 — At least 23 Iranian pilgrims were injured, some of them seriously, when the bus they were in had an accident outside Madinah yesterday, Red Crescent sources said.
The Indonesian bus driver was also injured. The accident occurred on Hijra road, three kilometers outside the city.
Seven units of the Saudi Red Crescent rushed to the scene after being informed of the accident. The injured were taken to Madinah General Hospital where eight are reported to be in serious condition.
