RIYADH, 9 May 2005 — The re-election of British Prime Minister Tony Blair for a third term and of US President George W. Bush and Australian Prime Minister John Howard for the second term respectively holds an important lesson for Muslims in terms of the power of communication.

Speaking in the context of Blair’s return to 10, Downing Street for a record third term, Ghulam Yazdani, a leading senior advocate from the south Indian city of Hyderabad, told Arab News that the message of all the three re-election victories was very clear: The ability to communicate in a convincing manner even while presenting a weak case, so that the voter gets carried away by their glib talk.
