JEDDAH, 10 May 2005 — The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and the Jeddah Municipality signed a strategic cooperation agreement last week.
Prince Abdul Majeed, governor of Makkah, held the signing of the agreement in his office in Jeddah. According to officials, the agreement aims to strengthen and develop relations between the two and to assure that urban development grows side by side with economic development.
The agreement that was presented to, and reviewed by, the Makkah governor focuses on improving the transportation sector and implementing the improvements as well as concentrating on the housing sector with an emphasis on affordable housing.
