MAKKAH, 26 May 2005 — A Saudi man Meshal Al-Zahrani was surprised when he wanted to renew his driver’s license that he had a number of traffic violations outstanding against him, Okaz newspaper reported. When he went to the traffic department, he found there were 116 violations amounting to fines of SR19,000. Some of the traffic violations were committed in places that he has never been. Until the matter is solved, he cannot travel outside the country nor renew his license.
