RIYADH, 2 June 2005 — An enterprising Pakistani, who has invented an anti-terrorism electronic device, is looking for a Saudi entrepreneur to manufacture and market the product in the Kingdom and abroad.

The device consists of two components — a silent informer system (SIS) and a Video Camera Operator (VCO). The SIS is plugged into the regular telephone line together with the telephone number of the police — 999 or any other three-digit number.

Explaining the operation of the device, Mohammed Ali Umer told Arab News that in the event of a terrorist attack, hostage-taking or robbery in the house of the user of this device, all he has to do is to activate the system using the remote control device (shown at right). This automatically dials the police phone number without the knowledge of the criminal.
