HP has announced H1 05 results for its Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) for the year 2005, securing a 24 percent growth in the Commercial Imaging & Printing Group. Overall, sales in the Imaging and Printing Group at HP Middle East delivered year-on-year growth of 19 percent.

Commenting on the business unit’s performance for the first half of HP’s fiscal year 2005, Amr Hassan, GM, Imaging and Printing Group, HP Middle East, stated that sales for all-in-one LaserJet printers and multifunctional printers grew by over 100 percent.

“Earnings for H1 2005 by far surpassed our targets,” confirmed Hassan. “We attribute this success to our go-to-market strategy. Our empowered channel partners and HP sales team have successfully driven HP’s color-in-the-office initiative thus providing businesses with integrated printing and photo-imaging solutions. On the consumer side, we have focused on photo print leadership, allowing home users to experience the best in innovative solutions and entertainment integrated into the digital lifestyle.”

This year has been paved with key landmarks for the Imaging and Printing Group of HP Middle East. “Earlier this year, we launched a Technology Center at Knowledge Village in Dubai. This center continues to train our channel partners, students and technology enthusiasts on cutting-edge solutions. HP also launched a similar Tech Center at Smart Village in Cairo, providing hands-on experience and insight to our North African market,” Hassan added.
