ABHA, 8 June 2005 — Two Yemeni men convicted of strangling a Saudi woman in the course of an armed robbery were executed yesterday in the southwestern region of Asir. Shawki ibn Ahmad Shammari and Muhammad ibn Saleh Yous strangled Asla bint Yehya Asiri after tying her to her bed, the Interior Ministry said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency. The pair broke into the woman’s house late at night to steal her money, the statement said.
