TAIF, 14 June 2005 — The director of a health institution in Taif had come up with a new way of catching cheaters. He offered a SR100 reward to teachers for each student caught cheating. Thinking that there were not many cheaters, the director was surprised that he ended up paying an average of SR700 to teachers who caught students. Nonetheless, the technique was working by the third day of exams when the number of cheaters dropped sharply. The director said there was no room for cheaters in the health professions since the students had to deal with people’s health and even their lives.
