At a ceremony hosted by the National Commercial Bank (NCB), Ali Rashed Assiri from Mahael was announced winner of the bank’s third “Dream Home” prize valued at SR1 million. Assiri is the third in a total of six winners to be electronically drawn in the nationwide ‘One Mega Promotion.’ NCB’s sales department manager, Ali Saleh Al-Ghamdi handed over the prize of SR 1 million to Assiri. Assiri expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the bank’s representatives and to NCB Chairman and Managing Director Abdullah Bahamdan and others. “Winning this prize has fulfilled my wish to pursue my postgraduate degree in business administration,” said Assiri who had applied for a SR40,000 loan from the bank. When the loan was granted, he transferred it to an Al Ahli investment funds qualifying him for the national draw. The promotion is taking place over a period of 90 days and the bank will draw winners every 15 days. Three more dream homes can be won in one of three ways -- customers can apply for an Al Ahli credit card, which complies with the Shariah, Islamic finance based on personal Murabaha or subscribe to an Al Ahli Mutual Fund. Ali Rashed Assiri is an accountant with the Royal Commission in Jubail in the Eastern province.
Carrefour Hypermarkets
Riyadh’s shoppers were treated to an exciting promotion by Carrefour Hypermarkets recently in the “Win your Trolley” promotion. The CEO of Carrefour/ Saudi Hypermarkets Eric Poiret stated that the promotion was a huge success and they feel encouraged to offer even more exciting promotions to the loyal customers of Carrefour. During the promotion Carrefour welcomed over 400,000 visitors, many of whom were attracted by Carrefour’s low prices and the chance to win their trolley, truly a win-win situation. Savola
The Savola Group Retail Division signed a SR6 million agreement with the San International Company in early June for renting various outdoor locations throughout the Kingdom, apart from Panda Supermarkets, from which to fly advertising balloons. The contract was signed by Eng. Ahmed Omar Mohnshi, the marketing general manager for the Savola Group Retail Division, and Abdul Based Ghabrah, marketing manager of San International. A number of officials from both companies attended the signing ceremony. The Savola Group team included Mowafik Jamal Mansour, financial general manager, Eng. Nawaf Mohamed Yamani, marketing and PR manager, while San International Company was represented by Mohamed Naeem Aldeen, operation and development general manager. San International, based in Dubai Media City, is one of the region’s leading companies specializing in advertising balloons and has recently opened an office in Jeddah to serve its Saudi clients. This agreement with the Savola Group is a new strategic alliance for the company in the media field.
Al-Babtain
Al-Babtain Power & Telecommunication Co., the leader in engineering & manufacturing sector, announced the testing of multi circuit tower for a prestigious project of Iran at its Testing Station in Riyadh. The test was successfully carried out for 230/63 KV — 4 circuit tower type “T4A30” with 49 load points. Testing of towers provides an added advantage in pre-qualification of the technical capabilities. “At present, Al-Babtain is under discussion with leading companies in the region for testing of multi-circuit towers for other projects”, its General Manager Abdul Aziz Alwohaibi said. Commissioned in 1991, Al-Babtain Tower Testing Station is a unique facility in the Middle East, to carry out the testing of overhead transmission structures.
Saudi Ceramics
Saudi Ceramics, a major ceramic manufacturer in the Middle East, launched its 2005 sanitary ware collection at the ISH exhibition held in Frankfurt recently. The collection includes two complete sets and several single pieces aimed at luxury and economic segments of the market. Among these, Kinaz, a complete bathroom set, stands prominent. It has been designed for the high-end segment of the market, it stands out not only for its attractive modern sleek shape but also for its advanced technical features.
