BEIRUT, 22 June 2005 — Lebanese singer Diana Haddad has resumed preparations for her upcoming album, which were postponed due to a serious car accident. Diana noted that she had a surprise for her fans, a song she will sing in a dialect that she has not used since the beginning of her career.
Diana has chosen the cover for her new album, selecting a photograph of herself from the variety of photos she keeps on hand. She revealed that she will begin a summer music tour including performances in the Arab world. Concerts in Morocco and Tunisia have already been scheduled for the tour. The singer recently performed alongside Indian and Pakistani singers at an event sponsored by a UAE communication company in Pakistan.
Diana is also reviewing the script for the upcoming film “Shu’oori Nahietak” (My Feelings Towards You), written by Fadwa Mohammad and directed by Saleem Al Bazz. Haddad is impressed with the script and will accept the leading role, which will mark her film debut. The rest of the cast has yet to be chosen.
