JEDDAH, 28 June 2005 — The College of Air Defense Force in Jeddah on Sunday celebrated the graduation of its second group of officers. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation Prince Abdul Rahman.
Prince Abdul Rahman presented diplomas and prizes to outstanding graduates. He also awarded them their ranks.
On arrival at the college, Prince Abdul Rahman was received by Gen. Attiyah Al-Tory, commander of the air defense force, and Maj. Gen. Saad Al-Otaibi, commander of the college.
The graduates, who had completed a four-year course, demonstrated some of their martial skills, which reflected the high level of training they had received at the college. In addition, a documentary film illustrating the life of a soldier in the college was shown.
Earlier, Al-Otaibi commended the government’s support for the college as well as the cooperation extended by parents.
