JEDDAH, 29 June 2005 — The Royal Commission (RC) in Yanbu through its Environment Protection Administration is in the process of initiating cooperation with a number of leading international companies specializing in environmental protection. The goal is to agree on bringing in experts to evaluate the current conditions and offer technical advise as well as training the employees on the ISO system while also reformatting the administrative and technical documents, reports, analysis reading results and monitoring equipment according to ISO system. A source at the Royal Commission said that the goal is to raise the standard of environment monitoring and the qualifications and abilities of the employees, which will bolster the credibility of the laboratory analysis reports and environment monitoring, this in turn will support the commission’s stand in cases of environment violations by the industries especially with the approaching time of implementing the environment violations fines system.
