RIYADH, 30 June 2005 — Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) Chairman Prince Alwaleed ibn Talal has contributed SR4 million to help construct the headquarters for the Saudi Journalists Association (SJA).
The KHC chairman made the contribution in response to a letter from Turki Al-Sudairi, SJA chairman and Al-Riyadh editor in chief.
Al-Sudairi visited the prince in his office on Tuesday accompanied by Khaled Al-Malek, SJA vice chairman and editor in chief of Al-Jazirah.
During the meeting, Prince Alwaleed commended SJA’s role in developing the Saudi media and in strengthening cooperation among journalists.
Alwaleed is a strong supporter of Saudi journalists and their role in raising awareness of important social issues.
