MUSCAT, 30 June 2005 — Oman’s Al-Khaleej Polypropylene Products said it is planning to acquire a majority stake in 2M, an Egypt-based producer of cast polypropylene film. Al-Khaleej Polypropylene has signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire 80 percent of 2M’s stake from Salama Group, the Omani company said in a statement late on Tuesday.
