MANAMA, 4 July 2005 — Bahrain has licensed Jersey-based Quorum Trust Group to set up the Arab Gulf region’s first finance company specializing in trust activities, the central bank said yesterday. The Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA) said in a statement that the firm, which will operate under the name Ohad Trusts Corporate and Financial Services, will offer trust, trustee and related services, including Shariah-compliant trusts.
