JEDDAH, 10 July 2005 — Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed will open today the Business Sector Services Center at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s branch in Jeddah. Minister of commerce, Dr. Hashim Yamani, said that the opening of the center was part of efforts made to provide an investment climate suitable for Jeddah’s business sector. “The ministry’s establishment of the center is in line with its efforts to develop the business sector by providing the best services for investors and saving them time and effort since the center includes everything related to the business sector in one place,” said Dr. Yamani.
The Jeddah center is part of the ministry’s plan for opening similar centers at its headquarter in Riyadh and at its branches in Makkah, Jizan, Dammam and Madinah in addition to other centers to be opened at the ministry’s branches across the Kingdom. In addition to the various services related to the business sector, the centers include an office of the chamber of commerce and industry, a bank branch, a businessmen’s service office, and a service office for people with special needs. The center in Riyadh includes a justice bureau. The centers are equipped with all support facilities and the technology to streamline its services. The Ministry of Commerce has also issued a complete guide on all the procedures and required forms related to the business sector. “The ministry has trained all personnel in these centers to be qualified and to achieve the goals by providing excellent services in each region without complications,” said Dr. Yamani.
