CAIR0, 12 July 2005 — Egyptian superstar Amr Diab is spending long hours in the recording studio trying to complete the songs for his upcoming album, scheduled for release on July 22.

The singer is trying to meet the deadline set with his production company Rotana.

Amr has not yet chosen which songs he will film in the form of music videos, saying he will decide once all the recordings are complete. Recently an arts and concert company was found guilty of fraud, scamming thousands of Turkish Amr fans.

The company advertised for three concerts to be held by Egyptian singer Amr Diab in Turkey, scheduled to take place in Istanbul, Anatolia, and Ankara.

When fans began buying tickets, for which prices reached up to $50 each, they discovered after it was too late that Amr would not be holding any concerts, and had never made any agreement with the company.

The shocking discovery placed the company in a tight spot, especially since it had falsely advertised for the concerts in newspapers and on local television, making them promise to refund the audience. It failed to do so.
