TAIPEI, 13 July 2005 — The Industrial Economic & Knowledge Center (IEK) of the government-funded Industrial Technology Research Institute recently estimated Taiwan’s production value of medical devices to reach NT$10.4 billion ($328 million) in the second quarter of the year, up 14 percent from the first quarter.
