‘DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil — Expansion Pack’ carries on the same horrifying intense action-horror of the original game DOOM 3 but with new features such as new weapons, monsters, a new environment and more. The storyline picks up 2 years after UAC unleashed hell and demons in the original DOOM 3 where the player a, marine, is sent to investigate a signal from a beacon located in the ancient Mars ruins. Unaware of the mysterious artifact, hell unleashes once more on Mars and it’s your job to bring it to a halt.

What’s New in DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil?

New weapons:

The new weapons include: The grabber or the gravity gun, double-barrel shotgun and the artifact. The grabber can pick up and propel items and objects. These objects can be anything from explosive barrels to incoming missiles from your opponent. The double-barrel shotgun offers more fire power and the artifact grants the player three new abilities. The first ability is to slow down time. The second one is berserker and the third one is invulnerability power

New Monsters:

The new monsters are fast, tough, difficult and challenging.

New Multiplayer Modes:

The expansion pack’s multiplayer supports 8 players instead of 4 and offers new modes such as capture the flag.

Improved Sound & Graphics:

The expansion pack offers wonderful texture, a detailed and a more open environment plus an excellent use of shadows and lighting. In addition, the ambient sound of the game is frightening and terrifying.

To finish off, Even though the new features aren’t revolutionary, DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil offers a great add-on to the original game with plenty of action and spine-chilling experience. The bottom line is if you’re a DOOM 3 fan then this expansion is highly recommended for you.
