RIYADH, 18 July 2005 — Saudi Arabia’s Company for Cooperative Insurance (NCCI) said yesterday its first half net profits doubled to SR167.3 million ($44.6 million) from SR79.7 million in the same period last year. Shareholder’s assets also rose 103 percent to SR967.4 million, the company said. NCCI results were announced after the close of yesterday morning trading on the Saudi stock market. Its shares were down 0.68 percent at SR586 riyals, compared to a year high of SR718.75 and a low of SR312.
