RIYADH, 18 July 2005 — The Riyad Bank last week gave SR1 million to the Prince Salman Center for Disability Research (PSCDR) as part of the bank’s SR5 million pledge as member of the Founders’ Council.
“I thank Riyadh Bank for the amount, which will go a long way in helping PSCDR in carrying out its humanitarian endeavors on behalf of the disabled,” said Prince Sultan ibn Salman, chairman of the board of trustees of the PSCDR.
Last year, Riyad Bank also gave SR1 million and is expected to contribute the remaining SR3 in the next three years.
Speaking on behalf of the bank, Rasheed Abdul Aziz Al-Rasheed, board chairman, said the SR5 million pledged as member of PSCDR’s Founders’ Council is part of Riyad Bank’s support for charitable organizations.
