DAMMAM, 22 July 2005 — Many real estate investors suffered huge loses after the closedown of a main road between Dammam and Alkhobar, the Al-Madinah newspaper reported. Real estate business sources estimated the losses would exceed SR3 billion especially since the project that closed the road would take 36 months to complete (three years). The commercial sources said that there are four huge projects, each one costing SR50 million on the entrance of the city of Alkhobar on the intersection of Prince Faisal Ibn Fahd Road with King Abdul Aziz Road. This delayed other tower projects in the area that was built for rent by commercial business.
