JUBAIL, 28 July 2005 — Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Hashim Yamani approved licensing three petrochemical projects at Jubail Industrial City for SR2.6 billion. Meanwhile, Prince Saud ibn Abdullah Al-Saud, president of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, has approved allocating a 504,300 square meters in the main industrial area in Jubail to establish an industrial compound for Saudi CHEVRON-PHILIPS Company. The total capital for the project is SR4,991 billion. With the completion of this project, the total investment for SHEVRON-PHILIPS Company in Jubail industrial will rise to SR10 billion, the Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.
