CAIRO, 28 July 2005 — During the filming of her new television drama “Nar Hadi’a” (On Low Heat), prominent Egyptian actress Elham Shahin felt severe pains in her sides and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Elham’s supervising doctor advised her that her appendix must be removed. The drama has been postponed for a week until the actress regains her health and is able to continue filming.
Recently, the drama encountered problems when the Egyptian “Media Production City” decided not to sign with the producer due to the extremely high salaries that were requested.
The producer of the drama explained that he requested the high salary because Elham had doubled her wage to star in the drama.
“On Low Heat” is written by Kawthar Haikal and directed by Abdul Aziz Al-Sukari.
