CAIRO, 1 August 2005 — Play writer Faisal Nada was faced with disappointment when Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi declined his nomination for the leading role in his new play “In Kibir Ibnak” (When your child grows up).

Faisal immediately replaced Haifa with former Miss Egypt, Hiba Al-Saisi. He revealed that Haifa had requested that he postpone the play until the winter due to her prior obligations, but he could not accommodate her without risking the vitality of his theater during the summer tourist season.

The cast of the play includes Sami Al Adel, Mohammad Najati, Du’aa Hijazi, and a number of new faces.

Along with hosting the popular television program “Superstar 3,” Hiba is making her transition into the acting world.

Thousands of candidates from around the Arab world and abroad applied to compete for a spot on the popular show Superstar 3, to be hosted by Hiba and Egyptian Aiman Al-Kasouni. Hiba replaces Jordanian singer Rania Al-Kurdi, who was host for the past two seasons.
