BEIRUT, 5 August 2005 — After a history of disputes, another one has erupted between Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama and Muhsin Jaber, owner of production company Alam El Phan.
According to the contract between the two, Muhsin was to finance the filming of Ragheb’s latest music video “Al Hubb Al Kibeer’ (The Big Love).
However, Alam El Phan refused to film the clip, leading Ragheb to finance the clip on his own.
The clip, filmed in Malaysia, was distributed exclusively to two music channels, Melody and Future TV.
Ragheb’s office was in shock when they discovered that the clip was being aired on the music channel Mazzika, owned by Muhsin.
Ragheb claims that the clip was copied from either Melody or Future, and then aired illegally on Mazzika. He stated that he will take legal action against Muhsin for his “piracy.”
