RIYADH, 7 August 2005 — Mobily has announced further reductions for international calls to a large number of countries in a renewed move to provide competitive and affordable services to its customers.

“Mobily, following the reduction in international call tariffs later this week, will charge as little as SR2 per minute for calls made to India, Pakistan or Bangladesh at any given time and day,” said a reliable source, here yesterday.

“Calls to the Philippines will cost SR2.30 per minute,” said the source adding that the reductions in international call charges will be effective from tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday. The reductions will be applicable to a number of countries. A list will be announced shortly.

The decision is in line with the promises and policies made by Mobily to provide better services at reasonable prices, said the source adding that the charges to many Asian countries will be slashed substantially.

The new rates will be applicable when the customers register for their favorite international numbers and will apply any time or day based on the customers’ choice.

“This new package of reduced rates will also completely eliminate peak and off peak rates or system,” said the source, adding that this new rate concept is being introduced for the first time in the region. It is also applicable for all packages both post-paid and pre-paid. The new rates will also be lower than the existing international call charges in the region.

Mobily is likely to achieve the half a million mark of subscribers in a few weeks.
