KUWAIT, 8 August 2005 — Kuwaiti investment firm Al-Deera Holding Co. said yesterday it had sold 20 percent of its capital to existing shareholders for 55 million dinars ($188 million) and would be listed on the stock market today. Deera Vice Chairman Talal Jassem Al-Bahr told Reuters the company decided to offer 50 million of its 250 million shares to existing shareholders for 1.150 dinars, which included an underwriter commission of 55 fils, and seek a listing. The offering was oversubscribed by 36 percent, said Abdullah Al-Khuzam, an investment manager at International Financial Advisors Co. (IFA), which managed the offering.
