BEIRUT, 9 August 2005 — Lebanese singer Maya Nasri has put the final touches on her first album produced by Rotana, after breaking her contract with Alam El Phan Production Company.
The album, which is scheduled for release in the very near future, will feature eight songs that vary in style and dialect. Maya has been commuting between Lebanon and Egypt to select the songs for the album.
A number of prominent composers from both countries contributed to the musical score. Some of the names Maya worked with were Marwan Khoury, Hisham Polis, Mohammad Rifae’ and others.
In the meantime, Maya plans on filming the music video for her song “Haba Haba” (Bit by Bit), from her latest album, upon Rotana’s request, sources claim.
Maya entered the entertainment world as a fashion model and beauty queen, which led to her successful acting and singing career.
