TAIF, 10 August 2005 — A mistake in the electronic banking system caused a man to lose more than SR31,000 from his savings, Okaz reported. The mistake was attributed to the phone banking system that paid the phone bills for more than 30 customers which together amounted to SR31,000. The account holder was very upset when the money disappeared from his account and after he shouted and screamed at the bank, he was promised a solution to the problem. The bank must first, however, contact all the people whose phone bills were paid from the man’s account.
