DHAKA, 10 August 2005 — The Maldives is planning to recruit manpower, particularly physicians, teachers and engineers, from Bangladesh, Maldives High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dr. Mohamed Asim said here yesterday after meeting Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
Responding positively, Khaleda said there are highly trained physicians, teachers and engineers in Bangladesh.
Some 10,000 Bangladeshi skilled and unskilled people are already working in the Maldives, sources said.
