AHSA, 11 August 2005 — A young man in the Al-Ahsa region of the Eastern Province has set new standards for theft, Al-Madinah newspaper reported. A young Saudi manipulated his friends for his own benefit; his plan was to invite a group of them to his house for dinner. As they would not be at home, it was an ideal time for someone to steal from their empty houses. One of the man’s friends unmasked the thief when he remembered that the thief had expressed a great interest in some expensive items in his friends’ houses. Then shortly after, he realized that the thefts had occurred when his friend was hosting a dinner.
