TAIF, 11 August 2005 — Number of limited income people who were forced to open accounts in certain banks complained that the banks are deducting 2.5 percent from their accounts when it goes below SR1000. They said that their salary is already low and that they were forced by the government departments they work for to open an account in these banks. They called on the Saudi Arabia Monetary Agency (SAMA) to interfere and look in their cases.
