JEDDAH, 12 August 2005 — The sixth graduating batch of Hala International School, Jeddah, turned in an excellent performance in the IGCSE and GCE exams for the May/June session.
Mohammad Shahrukh topped the boys section, scoring eight As. The girls section saw two outstanding results. One was by Qurrat Ul Ain Ashfaq, who registered for a total of nine subjects. She earned two A*s and seven As. Neelam Asghar earned three A*s and four As. Shahrukh and Qurrat Ul Ain are siblings.
Other exceptional performers among the boys were Bilal Shoaib (an A* and six As). Danyal Ahmed (two A*s and three As) and Asad Raza Khan (three A*s and an A). On the girls’ side, Hanan Adam achieved an A* and six As while Misbah Ghulam and Faryal Qamar scored six and five As respectively.
Overa11, the 41 graduating students accumulated an astounding 108 A*s and As. This batch also included six candidates who qualified for ICE (International Certificate of Education) award. Four of them managed to obtain this certificate with distinction. They were Mohammad Shahrukh, Bilal Shoaib, Qurat Ul Ain Ashfaq and Faryal Qamar.
HIS Principal Mrs. Tanveer Tariq expressed happiness over the results and praised the dedicated staff and the students for the excellent results. Earlier this year, HIS announced the start of their A Level classes set commence from September.
