RIYADH, 16 August 2005 — The Governor of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation, Fuhaid Al-Shareef, has signed a number of contracts to renew machines in the desalination plants. The total value of the contracts is SR13.4 million, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported. The new contracts include transferring diesel from the petroleum products distribution center in Jizan to the storage facilities on Farasan Island and providing human resources and equipment to fix the walls, posts and new pumps at the desalination station in Jeddah.
