RIYADH, 19 August 2005 — A Saudi man could not believe his luck when he caught the same thief who had stolen his cell phone two weeks earlier. The thief had asked to borrow the victims’ phone to call his sick mother. Instead of making the phone call, he disappeared into the crowd taking the SR1,600 cell phone with him. Two weeks later, the victim found the thief trying to do the same thing to another person. This time however, he caught him and handed him over to police. Police arrested the thief and forced him to repay the value of the stolen cell phone.
