CAIRO, 22 August 2005 — Iraqi Dijlah Airline has started direct flights to Cairo with three trips a week according to the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority. “Dijlah Airline sent their first flight to Cairo and this marks the start of operating a direct line between Cairo and Baghdad after it stopped for a very long time,” said the head of the Civil Aviation Authority Maj-Gen Samir Abdel Maabud.
