DHAHRAN, 27 August 2005 — Thawing of relations between India and Pakistan has helped the airline business in Saudi Arabia and rest of the Gulf. The Pakistani national carrier PIA has witnessed considerable growth in business from Saudi Arabia after the ban on Pakistani airplanes to enter the Indian airspace was lifted, as a result of the improvement of relations between the two countries. According to some estimates, PIA has registered almost 26 percent growth in business from its Dhahran station due to the changes in political temperature between the two countries.
