RIYADH, 28 August 2005 — The Saudi British Bank (SABB) has appointed Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri as SABB treasurer with effect from Aug. 25, 2005, the bank announced here yesterday. He will succeed Olivier Pacton who moved to the HSBC Group on completion of 3 years of secondment to the Kingdom.

Commenting on the appointment, Bleihid Al-Bleihid, general manager of human resources, said the appointment of Al-Tuwaijri, as treasurer of SABB is a result of his efficiency and dedication besides his professional qualifications and practical experience he derived from the bank. He stressed that this promotion was in line with the bank’s strategy for the Saudization of top positions and for opening-up career opportunities for qualified Saudi staff to enable them to assume key positions in various placements.

Al-Tuwaijri joined the bank in 1995 and has held several positions and last of which was senior executive treasury.

SABB had won a number of awards for its efforts in supporting Saudization programs of the Kingdom through its training and recruitment of Saudi personnel to the bank. Prominent awards received by the bank included “HRH Prince Naif Saudization Shield” and the “Saudization Award” from the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) for the last three years.
