JEDDAH, 14 September 2005 — Commerce and Industry Minister Dr. Hashem Yamani yesterday postponed elections to the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s board of directors to November.
He also urged chamber officials to re-open the door for nominations for 15 days from Saturday in order to allow more candidates to contest the polls.
A number of businesswomen have expressed their interest to join the board. “We want our voice to be heard by having our representatives in the board,” Rola Badkuk said.
